Coolify
Coolify is a free, self-hosted Platform as a Service (an alternative to Heroku or Vercel) that automates deployments, SSL certificates and reverse-proxy configuration. Deploy applications, databases and 280+ one-click services from a single web dashboard on your own Seed.
Pelican
Pelican is an open-source control panel for game servers. From the web interface you create servers for Minecraft, Rust, ARK, Valheim, Counter-Strike 2 and many other games and access their console, files and backups. Each game server runs in its own Docker container with fixed CPU, memory and disk limits.
Plesk
Plesk is a web hosting panel for running many websites on one server. You create domains, customers and resellers, assign service plans and manage PHP version, databases, mailboxes, DNS zones, FTP accounts and backups per website in the browser. Plesk renews Let's Encrypt certificates on its own, the WP Toolkit keeps WordPress installations up to date, and Site Import pulls existing websites from other hosts onto the Seed. Running Plesk requires a Plesk license. You enter the activation code at first login or start with the 14-day trial license from Plesk.
KeyHelp
KeyHelp is a free web hosting panel by Keyweb AG for Linux servers. You create customers, assign them hosting plans with limits for storage, traffic, domains, mailboxes and databases, and manage PHP version, DNS zone, email accounts with spam and virus protection, FTP accounts, cron jobs and Let's Encrypt certificates per domain in the browser. Your customers get their own logins with a file manager, database administration and webmail. Backups to local or remote storage run on a schedule, the monitoring shows services and disk usage, and the REST API connects the panel to your billing. KeyHelp is licence free, the additional features of KeyHelp Pro are an optional subscription.
Nextcloud
Nextcloud keeps your team's files, calendars and contacts on your own Seed. Desktop clients for Windows, macOS and Linux and mobile apps for iOS and Android keep folders in sync across all devices. Share folders directly with colleagues, or send clients a link protected by a password and an expiry date. Calendars and address books connect to your mail client and phone via CalDAV and CardDAV. You can create users in the web interface or pull them from your directory via LDAP, and the built-in App Store adds tools such as Nextcloud Talk for chat and video calls. Nextcloud is open source and free to use.
WireGuard
WireGuard turns your Seed into a private VPN server. Laptops and phones connect through the official WireGuard apps for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, and you add a device by scanning a QR code or importing a configuration file. On hotel or public Wi-Fi, your traffic then travels encrypted to the Seed and on to the internet from there. Services that only accept allowlisted IP addresses always see the address of your Seed. You can connect servers and other Seeds the same way and reach their internal services through the tunnel. The installation creates access for your first device right away.
Docker
We set up Docker Engine and Docker Compose from the official Docker repository on your Seed. Describe an application with its database and reverse proxy in a compose.yaml and start it with docker compose up -d. Compose files from your local development setup run on the Seed with the same commands. Pull images from Docker Hub or your own registry, and build your own with Buildx right on the Seed. Docker Engine, Compose and Buildx are licensed under Apache 2.0 and free for commercial use.
n8n
n8n connects your applications and services through workflows that run on your own Seed. When someone submits your contact form, a webhook starts a workflow that adds the contact to your CRM, opens a ticket and posts the request to your team chat. You build these flows in the editor by dragging nodes onto the canvas and connecting them. Hundreds of services come with ready-made integrations, and you reach any other service through an HTTP request to its API. AI agent nodes summarize or classify incoming requests using the API key of your AI provider, and where no integration fits, you write the step in JavaScript or Python. Your credentials stay encrypted on your Seed. The n8n Community Edition is licensed under the Sustainable Use License, a fair-code license, and is free of charge for your own use.
WordPress
Build client sites, company websites and blogs on your Seed with WordPress. You design pages and posts in the block editor and pick a look from thousands of themes, or adjust it yourself in the Site Editor. Free plugins from the official directory add contact forms, SEO, multilingual content or an online shop. You give editors and clients their own logins and use roles to decide whether someone only writes posts or manages the whole site. Once your client signs off on the site, you switch it over to their domain.
Vaultwarden
With Vaultwarden, you run the password manager for yourself and your team on a Seed of your own. You use the official Bitwarden apps for browser, phone and desktop and add your Seed there as a self-hosted server. Your devices encrypt passwords, passkeys, TOTP codes and secure notes before they reach the Seed. Organizations let you share logins with colleagues through collections, and Send delivers text or files as a link with an expiry date. File attachments, emergency access and two-factor login with an authenticator app or security key are available to every account. Vaultwarden comes without license fees, and its source code is open.
Set up more software
Our guides describe step by step how to install and set up more software on your Seed.
Frequently asked questions about apps
What does an app cost?
The app itself is free. You are billed for the Seed it runs on, by the hour according to its model. If the app needs an IPv4 address, it is added automatically at the regular IPv4 price.
Who installs updates for the app?
The app runs on your Seed and you have full root access. You install updates for the app and the operating system yourself, as described in the app's documentation. For many apps, our guides cover the steps as well.
Can I create a Seed with an app through the Public API?
Yes. The GET /apps endpoint of the Public API returns the catalog with every installable version. When you create a Seed, set the source type to app and the ref to apps/{slug}/versions/{version_slug}. Every app page shows a complete example.
How do I know the setup is complete?
The setup runs on the Seed's first boot and takes a few minutes depending on the app. Once it is complete, the file ready.txt in /root on the Seed contains everything you need next. If you find a failed.txt there instead, please contact our support.
